The role of a Sports Therapist is to help keep sports participants in peak condition before, during and after competition. My skills include injury rehabilitation,employing techniques similar to principles used in Physiotherapy however whilst most Physiotherapy is geared towards returning you to activities for daily living, Sports Therapy prepares the injured sports person for return to competitive sporting endeavour. The assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of soft tissue (muscle, ligaments and tendons) sports related injuries is vital to ensure sports men and women can function at their optimum and also have a reduced risk of getting injured however my advice would be to have a full physical assessment well before the start of your competitive season even if you are not injured as this might red flag potential injuries due to muscle imbalance, poor posture, poor flexibility, faulty biomechanics etc. Assessment may include; Treatment methods include; Rehabilitation techniques include;
